Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information MaskAI collects when you use the MaskAI app for iPhone, the web app at maskai.app/app and this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. If you have a question, email support@maskai.app.

What we collect

Account details. Your email address, and your name if you add one or if Apple or Google shares it when you sign in. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we keep the account identifier they give us.
Photos and videos you upload. The files you add to make a creation, such as a photo of your face, a photo of your pet or a video.
What you make. Your creations, the templates and models you used, the settings you chose and any text you typed.
Credits and purchases. Your credit balance and history. Purchases are handled by Apple: we receive the transaction details needed to add your credits, never your card details.
Your agreements. When you confirmed you're 18 or older and accepted these terms and AI processing.
Device and security information. Your IP address, browser or device type and app version when you sign in, and logs of requests to our servers. On iPhone, a notification token if you allow notifications.

How we use it

To make what you ask for: your photos, videos and text are processed by AI models to create your content.
To run your account: signing you in, keeping your credits and creations, and sending sign-in codes by email.
To keep MaskAI safe: checking uploads and text for content that isn't allowed, and preventing abuse and fraud.
To answer your support requests and to meet legal obligations.

MaskAI doesn't use your photos to recognize or identify you, doesn't use your photos or videos to train AI models, and doesn't sell your personal information. The website doesn't use advertising or analytics cookies.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the companies that help us run MaskAI, and only what they need to do that:

AI model providers, which run the models that create your content. They receive the photos, videos and text for that creation.
Content safety services, which may check photos and text for content that isn't allowed.
Hosting and storage providers, which run our servers and store files.
An email provider, which delivers sign-in codes.
Apple and Google, when you sign in with them, and Apple when you buy credits.

We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect people from harm, or as part of a sale or reorganization of the business, in which case this policy continues to apply to it.

How long we keep it

Photos and videos you upload are deleted automatically 7 days after you upload them.
Your creations stay in My creations until you delete them. Deleted creations stay in Recently deleted for 30 days, and are then removed for good.
When you delete your account, we remove your sign-in methods, name and email address, sign you out everywhere and delete your uploads and creations.
We keep records of purchases and credits, and security logs, for as long as we need them for accounting, fraud prevention or legal reasons. If the law requires us to preserve information, we keep it for as long as required.

Your choices

Delete any creation from My creations at any time.
Delete your account and its data from Account, in the app or on the web.
Change the name on your account from Account.
Ask us for a copy of your information, or to correct or delete it, by emailing support@maskai.app from the address you sign in with. Depending on where you live, you may have other rights under local law, and we'll respond to requests within the time the law requires.

Age requirement

MaskAI is for adults 18 and older. Don't upload photos or videos of anyone under 18. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we delete it.

Security and location

We protect your information with encrypted connections, private file storage with short-lived links, and limited staff access. Our servers and providers may be in the United States and other countries, so your information may be processed outside the country where you live.

Changes to this policy

If we make important changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page and tell you in the app or by email before they take effect.
